Nominees typically hold back during conventions, but Donald Trump appeared at the Republican National Convention Tuesday for the second night in a row.
On Monday, Trump introduced his wife Melania Trump, and on Tuesday, he was home in New York City, his address beamed into the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland less than two hours after he was formally named the Republican nominee for president. “What we did getting the party’s nomination is something I’ll never, ever forget,” he said. “This is a movement, but we have to go all the way.” Trump said he is looking forward to Thursday, when he will get onstage and share how he plans to “put the American people first….get rid of ISIS, restore law and order, and so many other things.”
He also praised his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, calling him an “incredible man,” and predicted that “we are going to win the state of Ohio and also, of course, we’re going to win the presidency and bring real change and leadership back to Washington.”
