Chief Executive of the International Association of Book-keepers has been appointed chairman of the SFEDI Advisory Board
Online PR News – 11-November-2013 – Malcolm Trotter, Chief Executive of the International Association of Book-keepers, has been appointed chairman of the SFEDI Advisory Board.
The SFEDI is the Government recognised, not-for-profit, standards setting body for Business Enterprise and Business Support. It researches what is needed for those preparing to start their own self-employed or micro enterprise, and develops National Occupation Standards to support them.
The Advisory Board, which is comprised of representatives of all the major UK small business membership and business support organisations, works to continually improve the quality of enterprise education, training and support.
My appointment as Chairman of the SFEDI Advisory Board is a reflection of the respect and regard with which the International Association of Book-keepers is held within the business community, said Malcolm.
Our qualifications for book-keepers are recognised as the industry standard, and I believe the experience gained from our work within our own sector will help drive the work of the SFEDI Advisory Board.
One of Malcolms first duties as Chairman was to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Toni Mascolo OBE, founder of TONI&GUY, recognising his contribution to business and enterprise skills.
The presentation was made at the SFEDI & IOEE Celebrating Enterprise event at the House of Commons.
The International Association of Book-keepers is a leading professional body providing certified bookkeepers to small businesses in the UK and Internationally. The IAB specialise in providing professional bookkeeping qualifications through courses and a number of different levels of bookkeeping exams.
