Why Are the “Adults in the Room” So Awful?

Why Are the “Adults in the Room” So Awful?:

This is what your “adults in the room” have done. They have constructed a system of power, first domestically and then globally, the main purpose of which is to extract surplus labor from us to feed the rentiers they represent. In enforcing this system of power, they have inflected megadeaths on the world, and have no compunctions against inflicting more. The “adults in the room” are monsters. It’s time to take away their plaything – the American state – which they have used to wreak this destruction and mayhem on the world, and to make sure nobody else ever wields it again.

Cindy Sheehan on Khizr Khan, Clinton’s Hawkishness, and Why She Votes Third Party

Cindy Sheehan on Khizr Khan, Clinton’s Hawkishness, and Why She Votes Third Party:

“The past eight years have been very lonely. There has not been much activism against the wars at all,” Cindy Sheehan lamented.

“Obama has continued to expand George Bush’s war of terror against the world, and there has been very little opposition to it,” she added.

More than 12 years ago, Sheehan’s son, a soldier in the U.S. Army, was killed in Iraq. The tragic loss transformed her. She was politicized, and plunged into anti-war activism. Sheehan soon became one of the most vociferous critics of then-President George W. Bush….

Salon spoke with Sheehan to discuss the recent controversy with Donald Trump and Khizr Khan, the 2016 presidential election and the ongoing wars waged by the U.S.

In the interview, Sheehan condemned Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, the two-party system and the corporate media.

How Presidential “Non-Opinion” Polls Drive Down Third Party Numbers and Facilitate Debate Exclusion

How Presidential “Non-Opinion” Polls Drive Down Third Party Numbers and Facilitate Debate Exclusion:

By asking Americans who they expect to vote for rather than who they want to be President, pollsters skew the numbers in favor of major-party candidates and help exclude third-party challengers from crucial debates…

He Said, She Said: Choose Your Central Plan

He Said, She Said: Choose Your Central Plan:

She wears white. He wears blue. She speaks about community. He talks about himself. She is chilly and sometimes nice. He is mean and sometimes funny. He says “manly” things. She talks about women’s rights.

And rarely have two candidates hated each other more. He says she is a criminal. She says he is a psychopath. The debates will be an international media bonanza to equal the Olympics.

There will be much entertainment value here, but not much enlightenment. In the end, we know the conclusion. The best thing going for her is that she is not him. The best thing going for him is that he is not her.

Beyond that, when it comes to actual belief structure and even specific policies, there is far less a difference. Both see the state as the answer to our problems and both see the presidency as the key to empower that state. Fabianism is a color gradient of fascism, and the reverse is also true.

Hillary Stuffs Entire U.S. Ruling Class Into Her Big, Nasty Tent

Hillary Stuffs Entire U.S. Ruling Class Into Her Big, Nasty Tent:

While Democrats scream “fascist” at Donald Trump, actual fascists with real histories of mass murder at home and abroad gather in Hillary Clinton’s “Big Tent” Democratic Party. The melding of GOP and Democratic fat cats is “the most dramatic effect of the breakdown of the duopoly system set off by Donald Trump’s white nationalist, anti-‘free’ trade revolt.” Blacks and progressives will be shocked to find themselves at the margins of Hillary’s tent.

Bernie Sanders Endorses the World’s Greatest (Presumptive) Evil

Bernie Sanders Endorses the World’s Greatest (Presumptive) Evil:

Bernie Sanders did not lie to his followers; they deceived themselves, just as most of them – the ones that were old enough – had fooled themselves into believing that Barack Obama was a peace candidate and a political progressive back in 2008, although Obama’s actual record and policy pronouncements showed him clearly to be a corporate imperialist warmonger…

Fear Factor: Trump the Boogeyman

Fear Factor: Trump the Boogeyman:

For all intents and purposes, the establishment GOP has dumped Donald Trump and joined Hillary Clinton’s corporate presidential campaign. Trump “shows all the signs of being headed for defeat,” but the Democrats hope to pile up huge majorities by pretending that he’s a threat. Anti-Trump hysteria gives Bernie Sanders cover to “sheep dog” his supporters to Clinton. The only sane choice is to reject both corporate parties.

Our Revolution Rises to Smite Trump and Make the World Safe for Bipartisan Oligarchy

Our Revolution Rises to Smite Trump and Make the World Safe for Bipartisan Oligarchy:

Bernie is… playing a role that has become almost standard fare in the Democrats presidential elections, the sheepherder, the piedpiper, the apparent revolutionary who walks onto the national stage like a warm up speaker for a year, promising great reforms and changes to come via his revolutionary movement within the Democratic Party, then when the electoral insurgency fails after the primaries, declares victory, pointing to the massive movement building, begrudgingly or belatedly endorses the choice of the liberal oligarchy, and proves to be True Blue, going out and campaigning like a demon on fire in the Fall to help the Democrats, Hillary in this case, win.
